What is the base price appearing on my Freight Quote? |
Base price is the rate charged for `standard procedure`, which includes a truck driver backing up to a dock to be loaded by the consignor (shipper), and driving the cargo to the receiving destination to be unloaded by the consignee. Base price includes all fuel surcharges. Base price does not include fees for accessorial services such as: Inside delivery, Liftgate Service, Residential, Insurance, Arrival Notifications, COD. The Shipper adds-on accessorial services to the base price, when services are deemed required by factors such as pick-up/ drop-off location type or freight type.
