What types of shipments are there?

At dnaFreight we offer following options for shipping freight:
  • (DDG) - Door-to-Door Ground Service: one carrier performs shipment pick-up and delivery. Freight is picked up from shipper and delivered to the consignee. There are no transfers of the cargo between multiple carriers at any point during shipping time.
  • (TD) - Terminal-to-Door Service: the shipper is required to bring the freight to the Terminal, where freight must be unloaded on the dock. Then, the shipment will be delivered directly to the Consignee. For `how-to` drop off freight at the terminal, please click here.
  • (DT) - Door-to-terminal delivery requires the consignee to pickup the freight at the terminal dock. The freight is picked up directly from the Shipper and freight is delivered to the destination Terminal. Once freight arrives to the terminal, the Consignee is contacted and informed that freight is ready for pick-up. For `how-to` pickup freight from the terminal, please click here.
  • (TT) - Terminal-to-terminal delivery requires the Shipper to drop off the freight at the origination terminal, and requires the Consignee to pickup the freight at the destination terminal.
